Fashion Puglia: emerging fashion kermesse for young designers and my look for the event! Last weekend I had the great pleasure of being invited to a very interesting fashion event.
Fashion Puglia is the most important kermesse of the South Italy for emerging fashion presented by Jo Squillo. At its 5th edition, it offers great visibility and opportunity for young talented designers.
For the occasion I wore a long cream dress with an antique pink print by Kocca. I found it perfect for the event and its wonderful location on Piazza della Libertà in Ostuni.
Fashion Puglia: emerging fashion show for young designers
So much creativity, research and desire to impress with unique creations that add great value to our Made in Italy. Fashion Puglia becomes a great opportunity for these young stylists who can show to the public and to the “workmen” of the fashion world of what they are capable of.
The event saw a small capsule collection consisting of about seven garments for each young stylist. Seven young fashion promises: Federica Derinaldis, Maria Grazia Di Donato, Dimitar Dradi, Vincenza Lacava, Marta Maggioni, Ilaria Novarese and Giulia Perangeli. To open the evening the shows of three important Apulian fashion academies: SitamLecce, De Rubertis and Calcagnile.
An important jury for the fifth edition consisting of:
- Antonio Franceschini National Manager CNA Federmoda
- Bianca Maria Gervasio is a fashion creative director and senior designer who, at only 37 years, has a five-year collaboration with Mila Shon and Fragiacomo
- Gianni Molaro art couturier stylist known to the public for his role as tutor at the Academy of Fashion “Detto fatto” on a primary italian tv channel
The winner? The choice was hard, but Dimitar Dradi triumphed above all. A visionary artist, a true creator who squints the eye a bit to McQueen’s style. For the winner the creation of the catalog by the organization and online visibility for six months on the UfashOn platform.
Last but not least, a great thank you to the creator Francesco Francioso and to Marilù Barbaro for the perfect organization of the event.
